Overview

Carol earned an interior design degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Los Angeles in 1988. She has met all requirements for the appellational Allied Member of Interior Design. Her natural eye for color and unique sense of decoration, combined with her knowledge of textiles and finishes makes her a skilled decorator. Additionally, her experience buying and selling vintage and antique furnishings, accessories and decorative arts, complements her design abilities.

Carol Cobabe has participated in several design showcases to benefit various charities, including Little Company of Mary Hospital in Palos Verdes, CA., and the Venice Family Sweet Chair-ity Design House in Bel Air. She has also participated in the Pasadena Showcase, which benefits the fund raising efforts of the Pasadena Junior Philharmonic Committee. Another project for charity were two different homes in the Assistance League Design House, located in Hancock Park.

Carol's combined efforts at the Venice Family Clinics Design House brought a First Place Award from the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. Her work has been in the F. Schumacher Fall Classic Directions, a trade publication. She's been published in Designers West, Better Homes and Gardens Spring 1998, and more recently, Better Homes and Gardens Summer 2003, Windows and Walls.
